Live Auction Preview: Summit Dinner
A guest-favorite live auction item is the Summit Dinner. An exclusive gourmet experience with private park access and sweeping 360-degree views atop Mount Diablo. Up to 10 guests will enjoy a multi-course meal prepared on-site by Lafayette’s acclaimed Postino Restaurant.

How It All Started
2002
Moonlight on the Mountain began in 2002 at China Wall in Mount Diablo State Park, the same breathtaking setting it calls home today. Just 120 guests gathered for a relaxed, intimate evening, dining on a four-course meal by lantern light and moonlight, with music from an acoustic string quartet. It was an ambitious effort for a small team of staff and volunteers, but a great success, and from there it grew!
Now
Today, Moonlight on the Mountain has grown to welcome more than 500 attendees, supported by a much larger staff and hundreds of volunteers. This special evening is an opportunity to celebrate the landscape, connect with our work, and meet others who share a passion for protecting these irreplaceable lands, while helping raise the critical funds that make it all possible.
