Discover the Diablo Range
The Diablo Range stretches over 200 miles from the Carquinez Strait to the southern edges of California’s Central Valley, encompassing a diverse landscape of rolling foothills, rugged peaks, and hidden canyons.
This vast, often overlooked mountain range is home to rare wildlife, sweeping wildflower blooms, and some of the most breathtaking views in northern and central California.
At Save Mount Diablo, our mission extends beyond protecting Mount Diablo itself—we are working to expand conservation efforts across the entire Diablo Range.
Through strategic partnerships, land acquisitions, and land use advocacy, we’ve grown our focus to 12 additional counties, ensuring the preservation of this vital ecosystem for future generations.
After more than 50 years of advocacy and stewardship for the 120,000 acres we have protected thus far, we want to highlight some of the most spectacular hikes found throughout the Diablo Range.
We have categorized hikes by region, so you can easily navigate and experience the beauty of this landscape firsthand.
