After the Lightning Fires in the East Bay Parks

When lightning strikes began igniting fires across California last August, the East Bay Regional Park District staff scooped up water from reservoirs and ponds to protect people and property.

Now, months after the fire, experts are taking a close interest in Mount Diablo’s Morgan Territory Regional Preserve, which was scarred by wildfire in 2020.
