Meet Maga Kisriev
How long have you lived in the Bay Area?
Fifteen years.
How did you learn about Save Mount Diablo?
John Kikuchi (Audit Committee member) introduced me to Save Mount Diablo.
When did you start volunteering with us, and why did you get involved?
I started volunteering on the Audit Committee about three years ago. I am an accountant, and I professionally work with land trusts and admire what they do. So, when John asked me to help Save Mount Diablo as a volunteer, I was happy to get involved.
Which Save Mount Diablo programs are you involved in?
I am the Board Treasurer and participate on the Finance Committee as well. I used to be part of the Audit Committee.
What do you enjoy about the volunteer work you do?
I like the people I work with and am glad that I can contribute my financial skills.
Is there a memorable experience you’ve had as a Save Mount Diablo volunteer?
Not yet, I hope it’s coming soon.
How do you spend your time beyond your volunteer work with us?
I am raising two elementary school children and trying to spend as much time with them as possible before they grow up. I am also a big soccer fan. I’m still playing and watching a lot of games. I was on board of a social services organization before joining Save Mount Diablo.
