Join Save Mount Diablo in exploring the Bay Area’s beautiful wild lands and open spaces!

AGE REQUIREMENT: 14+ years old

Join Save Mount Diablo for a day of rock climbing and exploring the Diablo Range at Pinnacles National Park. We will be climbing in the reservoir area on the eastern side of the park. We will travel through caves and catacombs until we reach the reservoir about a mile / mile and a half hike. From there we will set up some top ropes and climb. We will go over equipment instruction as well as coaching on a number of top rope climbs, and provide insight into the importance of climbing stewardship at both climbing areas and in outdoor recreation. Rock climbing is a very fun activity with great benefits.

  • Snacks
  • Plenty of water
  • Sturdy shoes you are comfortable hiking in
