Join us for a meander around the base of Mount Diablo to explore the medicinal plants growing along the trails at Mitchell Canyon. We will talk about the modern-day uses of the plants we see and discover some of the diversity that this abundant ecosystem holds. The walk will begin in the native plant garden at the Mitchell Canyon Visitor Center, where we will start our journey into the world of local medicinal herbs and their wonder/magic. Be sure to bring plenty of water and a snack, and dress in layers. Sturdy shoes or hiking boots are recommended. Heavy rain cancels.
