Krane Pond Property Dedication

March 14 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free
Join Save Mount Diablo for our dedication of the new Krane Pond property.

Please join Save Mount Diablo in the dedication of our newest land acquisition, Krane Pond. This beautiful 6.69-acre property has one of the largest ponds on the north aspect of Mount Diablo, and it is adjacent to Mount Diablo State Park. It is certainly a wildlife haven.

This particular hike will be an off-trail adventure over uneven, grassy terrain. Starting at Save Mount Diablo’s Lot 25 in Clayton, participants will explore through the adjacent Mount Diablo State Park lands to a lovely view of Krane Pond. Guided by Executive Director Ted Clement, hikers should be prepared for a rugged excursion.

Participants should dress in long pants and layers, with sturdy shoes or hiking boots. Come prepared by bringing water and snacks. Heavy rain cancels.

Parking at Lot 25 available. No restrooms.

This hike is limited to 20 participants.
