Marsh Creek 7 Planting Volunteer Day
We have about 200 plants to put in the ground and we could really use your help! Please join us to add native plants to our ongoing restoration project at Marsh Creek 1&7 and mulch around them. This is the best time of the year to plant because the soil is soft and easy to dig and nature does the initial watering for us.
Please RSVP if you are able to attend so that we know to expect you. Our waiver is included in the sign up process.
Meet: 16000 Marsh Creek Rd, Clayton, CA 94517
The following GPS coordinates take you directly to the parking area: 37.890791, -121.801905. Please note that there is construction on Marsh Creek Road with a one lane traffic signal. Please add an additional 10-15 minutes to your anticipated travel time. The turn off for our project site is within the two temporary traffic lights. A Save Mount Diablo sign will be present at the turn off. Parking will be on an unpaved area on grass.
What to Bring: Water and snacks, sturdy shoes, comfy work clothes, weather protection (i.e. hat, sunscreen, raincoat, layers), work gloves if you have them (we also have extras).
Policy for volunteers under 18 years old: All volunteers that are minors must be accompanied by an adult and the adult must sign the minor up on their behalf.
This event is rain or shine. Participants will be notified in the event of cancellation due to extreme weather conditions. An AQI of 150 or above automatically cancels the workday.
Join us to save the remaining natural lands of Mount Diablo!
