Help us with the beautification of the Balcerzak property in Curry Canyon!

Balcerzak Beautification Volunteer Day

Please join us to continue working to beautify one of Save Mount Diablo’s newer aquisitions. This workday is for volunteers comfortable picking up trash and debris of various sizes and weights and deposting them in a large recycling bin. Space is limited to 11 volunteers due to transportation contraints to the project site.

Please RSVP if you are able to attend so that we know to expect you. Our waiver is included in the sign up process.

Meet: Curry Canyon Ranch – 3500 Curry Canyon Rd, Clayton, CA

The following GPS coordinates take you directly to the parking area: 37.866364, -121.881330. We will meet at the Curry Canyon ranch house andthen staff will drive volunteers to the work site. The front electric gate to Curry Canyon Ranch will be open.

What to Bring: Water and snacks, sturdy shoes, comfy work clothes, weather protection (i.e. hat, sunscreen, raincoat, layers), eye protection (sunglasses are OK), work gloves if you have them (we also have extras). Additional PPE will be provided as needed.

Policy for volunteers under 18 years old: All volunteers that are minors must be accompanied by an adult and the adult must sign the minor up on their behalf.

Participants will be notified in the event of cancellation due to extreme weather conditions. If there is a lot a rain prior to the workday then we will likely be unable to drive to the work site due to muddy road conditions. In that event, please be prepared to hike the ~1 mile to the site. An AQI of 150 or above automatically cancels the workday.
