Bird Watching Hike – Diablo Foothills

April 16, 2021 @ 8:30 am - 10:30 am

All Discover Diablo hikes are subject to, and will honor, all applicable COVID-19–related restrictions in place for our area.

About this Event

The many habitats of Mitchell Canyon support a wonderful variety of bird species. Join Save Mount Diablo on an easy Spring birding walk of this area to see year-round resident species and new arrivals from their wintering grounds in the south. Some birds will only stick around for a few short weeks so don’t miss out!

Be sure to bring plenty of water, a snack, binoculars, and dress in layers. Sturdy shoes or hiking boots are recommended. Heavy rain cancels.

Due to COVID-19, we are limiting the hike to 8 participants. All participants must bring a mask and stay 6ft apart. Hand sanitizer will be available at the hike.

Participants will also be required to accept our COVID-19 Protocol (available during registration).

***There will be a $6 park entrance fee (exact cash required)
