Come out and help steward Mount Diablo!

This event is in partnership with the Bay Area Climbers Coalition, American Alpine Club, Mount Diablo State Park, and East Bay Regional Park District.

SATURDAY project at Sunset Trail: Trail maintenance. This project will be led by the Ride with Gratitude Program, an organization focused on helping the community by connecting people to the mountain they love through giving back through trail maintenance in Mount Diablo State Park. All are welcome to join!

Meet: The trail intersection between Falcon Road and Sunset Trail in Mount Diablo State Park. Please look at the following coordinates for the trail location (37.879557, -121.975871).

Parking Directions: Volunteers can park in Mount Diablo State Park along North Gate Rd at the Pine Canyon Trailhead (37.885181, -121.977721) or farther up the road. Volunteers can also park at the Orchard Staging Area parking lot of Diablo Foothills Regional Park (37.896335, -121.997641) and hike or bike to the meeting location.

If you park within MDSP, tell the entry kiosk attendant that you are volunteering for our event to waive the $10 state park entrance fee.

Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Contact Haley at hsutton@savemountdiablo.org for minor waivers. We will also bring extras.

What to Bring: Water bottle and snacks, sturdy shoes, eye protection (sunglasses or work glasses), layers and sun protection, and work gloves if you have them.
