2nd Annual Pine Canyon Cleanup Day

Help Mount Diablo State Park celebrate its 100 year anniversary by removing graffiti and litter from the Castle Rocks!

This event is in partnership with the Bay Area Climbers Coalition, Mount Diablo State Park, and East Bay Regional Park District.

Meet: Little Pine Creek Trail Head on Northgate Rd within Mount Diablo State Park

Parking Directions: There are multiple areas where volunteers can park and walk to the meeting point.

  • Option a) Drive 1.5 miles from the Northgate entrance of MDSP to a parking pull out to the right of the road, where the Little Pine Canyon Trail Head is located. Parking is limited.
  • Option b) A second parking pull out is located farther up Northgate Rd where it intersects with Burma Rd trail. Parking is limited.
  • Option c) Park at the large lot at the entrance of Diablo Foothills Regional Park off Castle Rock Rd and hike up to the meeting point at Little Pine Creek Trail Head.

There is a $10 state park entrance fee.

Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Contact Haley at hsutton@savemountdiablo.org for minor waivers.

What to Bring: Water bottle and snacks, sturdy shoes, layers and sun protection, face covering, and work gloves if you have them.
