This April, we’ll not only be moving into a new fiscal year; we’ll be moving to a new office! Our official first day working in the new office will be on April 17.
Don’t worry, we’ll still be working in Walnut Creek. As part of implementing our Climate Action Plan (CAP), we’re moving to a more energy-efficient office.
Our new space has Title 24 lighting, energy-efficient appliances, and other energy-efficient characteristics that will reduce our carbon footprint.
Our rent for the new office will also be much lower.
As an environmental conservation nonprofit, we’re working to prioritize the continuous improvement of our internal practices to be more in line with our organizational goals and values by moving to a more climate-friendly location. Our goal is to be a leader in climate-friendly organizational practices.
And by helping us save money, this new office will allow us to put more of our funding towards our programs.
Our new office is closer to BART and has plenty of parking, which will make it easier for you to visit us.
The new office is also directly across the street from the Iron Horse Trail, giving staff and visitors a great opportunity to enjoy one of Contra Costa County’s most accessible trails and an option to safely commute to the office by bike.
But the best part about our new building is that the site has a stunning view of Mount Diablo!
Our new address will be 201 N. Civic Drive, Suite 190, Walnut Creek, CA 94596.
We will host an office-warming get together later this year. There will be refreshments and of course a gorgeous view of Mount Diablo. We can’t wait to show you our new space!
