Moonlight on the Mountain

Save Mount Diablo’s signature fundraising gala is held each year at China Wall in Mount Diablo State Park. Dinner is accompanied by live music, inspirational presentations, silent and live auctions, and more!

Four Days Diablo

Our annual “gently roughing it” camping trip is a rare opportunity to experience seldom-seen views of Mount Diablo landscapes.

Participants follow the 31-mile Diablo Trail over four days, guided by experts who know the land intimately. Staff haul gear and set up camp for you, and talented local chefs cook delectable dishes.

Mount Diablo Challenge

The Valley Spokesmen Bicycling Club now hosts the Mount Diablo Challenge. This 11.2-mile, timed bike race climbs 3,249 feet to the summit of Mount Diablo up South Gate Road. Save Mount Diablo is a beneficiary.

The race is open to competitive and recreational cyclists and teams. This is a once-a-year opportunity to enjoy riding the mountain without cars.

Diablo Trails Challenge

Hosted by Brazen Racing, the Diablo Trails Challenge is a fundraising run for Save Mount Diablo that showcases some of the natural beauty surrounding Mount Diablo. Runners can choose from 5K, 10K, half marathon, and 50K runs that take them through Diablo Foothills Regional Park and Mount Diablo State Park.

Beacon Lighting

Every December 7, Save Mount Diablo, in partnership with California State Parks and the Sons and Daughters of Pearl Harbor Survivors, Chapter 5, lights the Mount Diablo Beacon to pay tribute to the lives that were lost and honor the surviving veterans of Pearl Harbor.

Join us to save the remaining natural lands of Mount Diablo!
