Restoration Is a Group Effort!

Diablo Restoration Team FAQ
Our regularly scheduled workdays are free and open to the public. We also offer corporate and group workdays with a suggested donation. The donation covers portable restrooms on-site, snacks and water, tools, and instruction by experienced Save Mount Diablo staff. For more information and to get started on scheduling a special program for your group, fill out this group workday interest form. If you have additional questions, please contact us at groupvolunteers@savemountdiablo.org.
As we continue to strive to bridge the gap between youth and nature, we encourage families and youth groups to participate in our stewardship workdays. We have outlined our policy on volunteers under the age of 18 in order to create the best environment for everyone involved. Youth volunteers under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian approve an online waiver when registering for an event online. Parents or guardians must also accompany the young volunteer for the duration of the workday. Minors cannot be dropped off. An authorized chaperone may accompany a group of minors with parent/guardian permission. Most of our activities are appropriate for students in middle school and older, but parents are welcome to bring younger volunteers with extra attention and guidance from the parent.
If you have any questions about our policy, you can reach our Diablo Restoration Team leader, Haley Sutton, at dirt@savemountdiablo.org.
Yes! Save Mount Diablo welcomes volunteers of all ages at our DiRT Days. Staff are happy to verify service hours for class requirements, club affiliations, college applications, court-ordered community service, and other reasons. Please have a DiRT leader sign off on hours at the end of the workday or reach out to us at dirt@savemountdiablo.org for verification after the workday.

We cancel workdays in response to extreme weather conditions, including but not limited to high winds, heat, heavy rain, Spare the Air days, and fire danger.
