Take 5 Minutes to Complete the Survey: Wildlife, Culture Are Priorities
Please fill out the short survey at the button below and prioritize protecting the wildlife, rare plants, and cultural sites of the Tesla area.
Save Mount Diablo and our allies have worked for years to protect Tesla Park, also known as the Alameda-Tesla property. That work led in 2021 to legislation protecting the Tesla area from damaging off-road use.
California State Parks is now thinking about what other types of activities should be allowed in this beautiful haven for rare wildlife and indigenous cultural sites.
We want Tesla classified as a reserve, where things like hiking, wildlife viewing, guided tours, picnics, and other low-impact uses are allowed.
The survey is part of the California State Parks classification process, and how you answer helps determine what activities are allowed on Tesla, what degree of protection wildlife and habitats will have, and what facilities will be built, or not.
Please take a few minutes to fill out the survey, and please prioritize the protection of wildlife, their habitats, and the cultural resources of the area.
