In Love… with Mount Diablo

PITTSBURG, CA – In the spirit of Valentine’s Day 2018, Save Mount Diablo (“SMD”) and Pittsburg High School (“PHS”) signed a Conservation Collaboration Agreement on February 6, 2018 to demonstrate their love and gratitude for the beautiful Mount Diablo natural area. The parties to this Agreement are asking Mount Diablo to be their Valentine. “I believe one of the key ways to get the next generation interested in conservation is to provide opportunities for our youth to get outside.” says PHS teacher,­­­ Achilleus Tiu.

Save Mount Diablo Purchases 95-acre Anderson Ranch in Morgan Territory, Ending Decades of Development Threat

“After years of efforts, and despite being threatened with a County approved 40-lot subdivision plan for forty years, Save Mount Diablo is extremely relieved and pleased to announce that it has successfully acquired and protected the 95-acre Anderson Ranch which is rich in conservation values in the strategic Morgan Territory area.
