DiRT Day: Building Habitat along Marsh Creek

July 18 @ 8:00 am - 11:00 am

Help us add mulching around the native plants at our Marsh Creek 1 & 7 properties!

Marsh Creek 7 Volunteer Day

We have put 500 plants in the ground this season and we need your help taking care of them! We will be weeding, mulching, and watering the native plantings. Please join us to enjoy a day outdoors building native habitat.

Our summer events are held earlier in the morning so that we can enjoy the cooler parts of the day. The site does not have a bathroom facility.

Please RSVP if you are able to attend so that we know to expect you. Our waiver is included in the sign up process.

Meet: 16000 Marsh Creek Rd, Clayton, CA 94517

The following GPS coordinates take you directly to the parking area: 37.890791, -121.801905. Please note that there is construction on Marsh Creek Road with a one lane traffic signal. Please add an additional 10-15 minutes to your anticipated travel time. The turn off for our project site is within the two temporary traffic lights. A Save Mount Diablo sign will be present at the turn off. You will go through an open electric gate with the address 16200 on it. Drive through to the end of the driveway and onto the unpaved road to our parking area. Parking will be on an unpaved area on gravel and grass.

What to Bring: Water bottle and snacks, sturdy closed-toed shoes, comfy work clothes, weather protection (i.e. hat, sunscreen), work gloves if you have them (we also have extras). Please be prepared to walk through tall dry grass.

This event is rain or shine. Participants will be notified in the event of cancellation due to extreme weather conditions. An AQI of 150 or above automatically cancels the workday.
