Four Days Diablo 2026 was a spectacular adventure across the wild lands of Mount Diablo. It was packed full of jaw-dropping views, special moments with wildlife, and great memories around the campfire.
Each year, Save Mount Diablo offers this awe-inspiring four-day camping trip that’s both wilderness trek and luxurious retreat: Four Days Diablo.
Our team transports the heavy gear, so you can truly enjoy the experience, including vibrant storytelling, live music, and exquisite catered meals.

The route takes 20 participants through six stunning regional parks and preserves, with only two paved road crossings between Howe Homestead Park and Morgan Territory Regional Preserve.
“This four-day journey provides the closest experience possible to a backpacking wilderness adventure in the Bay Area.” —Tom Fraser
We began this year under cloudy skies, the air fresh from rain.
In the trees, a hidden coyote watched us pass. Later, the clouds broke apart in a spectacular display, opening the wildflowers at Shell Ridge.
Our first day took us from lush canyons to ridges of chaparral ornamented with blooms, and we ended our day with a fabulous meal at Live Oak Campground in Mount Diablo State Park.
Our second day was incredible as we hiked the Knobcone Point Road trail into Curry Canyon Ranch for live music and fine dining catered by none other than Postino.
In a great twist that evening, Save Mount Diablo Executive Director Ted Clement signed closing documents that brought parts of Curry Canyon Ranch one step closer to joining Mount Diablo State Park.
