Hike the trail above Castle Rock Recreation Area to Pine Creek and then into Mount Diablo State Park, returning via other regional park trails. Sights abound, including the sandstone formations where peregrine falcons nest sometime between February 1 and July 31, mixed woodland habitat, and open grassland.
Be sure to bring plenty of water, a snack, and dress in layers. Sturdy shoes or hiking boots are recommended. Heavy rain cancels.
Due to COVID-19, we are limiting the hike to 8 participants. All participants must bring a mask and stay 6ft apart. Hand sanitizer will be available at the hike.
Participants will also be required to accept our COVID-19 Protocol (available during registration).
