Save Mount
Diablo will host its seventh annual “Moonlight on the Mountain” on
Saturday, September 13, 2008. This special, one-of-a-kind event for
500 guests includes drinks and hors d’oeuvres, silent and live
auction, elegant sit-down dinner, and live music. “Moonlight on the
Mountain” takes place outdoors on a flat plateau next to the
dramatic rock formations of China Wall, with a spectacular view
of undeveloped rolling hills and the summit of Mount Diablo—all
under the light of the rising moon.
The event also
includes a presentation of the “Mountain Star” awards to
individuals and organizations who have been significant in
preserving, interpreting and restoring Mount Diablo. This
year's winners are Dorothy Wright
(Landowner Award), Harry Silcocks & The East Bay Trail Dogs (Trail
Blazer Award), Jeanne Thomas (Cornerstone Award).
The elegant
sit-down dinner is catered by Sunrise Bistro & Catering and
features:

Mignon Roast with Morel Demi glace and Caramelized Onion Potato

* Pan Seared Halibut with Tomato, Corn & Pepper Relish and
Couscous *
* Heirloom Caprese with Grilled Portobello Mushroom,
